Shift Up Now Athlete Sally McNulty has her sights set high for 2022, aiming to be the first woman to win the TC America powered by Skip Barber championship.
Returning to the SRO-sanctioned series for another year, McNulty will drive a full season in the No. 78 Borla Exhaust VGRT Civic SI in the TCA class. She will compete for Victor Gonzalez Racing Team (VGRT), a Florida-based race team with experience and success in professional sports car racing.
McNulty is one of four athletes to receive sponsorship from Bell Techlogix and Shift Up Now, which will be represented on her 2022 racing suit and car.
The 2022 TC America series season includes seven double-header races across North America, with three classes in each race. The season opener takes place on the 12-turn Sonoma Raceway road course on April 15-17, 2022.
“I cannot wait for this season to start,” said McNulty. “We had a successful test day at Sonoma Raceway, where we worked on the car’s setup, showed great pace and have a strong starting point for the season opener.
“I really want to be a fierce competitor this year for the championship. I’m a firm believer that nothing comes easy; you have to work hard for it, and I want to put in the work. I’m so thankful for all the partners who have come on board for the 2022 season as we fight for the TCA championship.”
