Shift Up Now NFT Collections

"Non-fungible tokens" (NFTs) are unique cryptographical tokens that exist on a blockchain that cannot be replicated, edited, or substituted. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger, where data is stored in blocks and as new data is entered, more blocks get added and are essentially chained together (i.e. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon).

We can think of NFTs as unique digital assets that have transparent ownership.

The Racers Collection 1 celebrates the powerhouse athletes who are members of Shift Up Now. Shift Up Now is an organization dedicated to driving change and funding female athletes in motorsport. Proceeds from this NFT collection directly benefit Shift Up Now athletes.

The Race Car Collection 1 showcases the speed, intensity, and beauty of the racing machines driven by Shift Up Now athletes. Shift Up Now is an organization dedicated to driving change and funding female athletes in motorsport. Proceeds from this NFT collection directly benefit Shift Up Now athletes.

Minting is the act of publishing a unique token on the blockchain (in our case, purchasing an NFT, which simultaneously creates and publishes it on the blockchain). Purchasing by credit card still “mints” the NFT, it’s just done so through the third-party service Winter.

Minting will be available to the public starting on April 4, 2023 at 3 pm ET. Minting will be available until the projects sell out!

You can mint up to 5 NFTs from each of the two collections.

By purchasing Shift Up Now NFTs, you become the owner of a Shift Up Now digital collectible and are supporting the women of Shift Up Now, as proceeds from these NFT sales go back to the athletes! As an automatic thank you, each NFT comes with a physical Shift Up Now hero card.

Additionally, by minting / purchasing an NFT, you gain entry into raffles to receive Zoom calls with the athletes featured, special behind-the-scenes videos from the drivers, and driver merchandise! Once you purchase an NFT, you can go to a marketplace like Opensea and, with your wallet connected, click on “unlockable content” and enter any relevant information to redeem perks. If you buy with credit card, we will contact you. Perks will be evolving, and one day we hope to have race tickets, potential for meet-and-greets, etc.

The cost of each NFT is ~$250 or the equivalent in Ethereum (ETH), plus gas (gas is the transaction fee).

The cost of gas varies depending on how busy the servers are. Typically, gas should be a few dollars per transaction for a single NFT. If the gas is more than $5-$10, you can wait to mint until the gas is lower.

Proceeds from the sales will be dispersed to Shift Up Now and the featured athletes.

Make sure you have enough ETH in your crypto wallet to cover the NFT cost and gas. Click on the "Mint a Racers Collection NFT" or "Mint a Race Car Collection NFT" button, then you will be prompted to connect your crypto wallet. Once your crypto wallet is connected, sign the transaction. It may take a few minutes for the transaction to complete.

If you’re paying with credit card and HAVE a crypto wallet: Click on the “Pay with Card” button, which will allow you to check out via a third-party service called Winter. You will be prompted to select the number of NFTs you’d like to mint, you will see the price, the price of gas, and the fee. Note – If you are paying with credit card, there will be a 5% processing fee.

Enter your email address where prompted. Then, if you have a crypto wallet, click “Ethereum Supported Wallet Address” and enter your wallet address or connect your wallet. Then click on whichever way you want to pay, via card or Apple Pay. Enter your payment information, select the box that says you understand that NFT purchases are non-refundable, and click “Submit Order.” This last step may take a few minutes.

If you’re paying with credit card and DO NOT HAVE a crypto wallet: Click on the “Pay with Card” button, which will allow you to check out via a third-party service called Winter. You will be prompted to select the number of NFTs you’d like to mint, you will see the price, the price of gas, and the fee. Note – If you are paying with credit card, there will be a 5% processing fee.

Enter your email address where prompted. Then click “Winter Wallet,” and click on whichever way you want to pay, via card or Apple Pay. Enter your payment information, select the box that says you understand that NFT purchases are non-refundable, and click “Submit Order.” This last step may take a few minutes.

If you’re minting with ETH: Once you click “Mint a…” button and you’ve connected your wallet and confirmed the transaction, the button will say “minting…”. Minting may take a few minutes, please remain on the page. When the transaction is complete, you will be redirected to a “thank you” shiftupnow.com website page as well as be able to see your transaction on the blockchain.

It may take a few minutes for your NFT to show up in your crypto wallet and to populate on NFT marketplaces like Opensea. This is normal!

If you’re minting with credit card: Once you enter your payment information and click “Submit Order,” the transaction may take a few minutes. Once the transaction is completed, the Winter pop-up will change to a congratulatory message, indicating the number of NFTs you minted and the email address it was sent to.

You can follow the link to Winter directly or check your email for your NFT and click on the link to the Winter website. From there, you will be prompted to enter your email address used at checkout, and a log-in email will be sent to your email address. From there, you can click on it and view which NFT you got!

You also have the option to transfer your NFT from Winter to another crypto wallet, either if you want to send it to someone or if you eventually get your own crypto wallet and want to send it to yourself. Always double check that you have the right crypto address, as transactions are non-reversible.

It can take a little bit of time for images to populate once an NFT is minted. If it’s been more than 10-15 minutes and you received a confirmation that your NFT was successfully minted / purchased, please try refreshing the metadata on the marketplace you’re viewing your NFT on.

You agree that you are not relying on any future commitments by Shift Up Now in using this site and participating in our NFT launch.

Shift Up Now NFTS are created as collectibles, not as investment vehicles or substitutes for cryptocurrency. We make no promise or guarantee that these NFTs will subsequently retain monetary value in fiat, cash or cryptocurrency.

Each Holder is solely and entirely responsible for any and all Federal or State tax liabilities which may arise, be imposed, or enforced as a result of minting or reselling Shift Up Now NFTs.
