The Shift Up Now Foundation is thrilled to announce the kickoff of its new “25 for 25” fundraising campaign, scheduled to run during September 2024, with a goal of raising $25,000 toward sponsorship grants for the 2025 season.
Following the success of last year’s “40 for 40” campaign that raised more than $40,000, the “25 for 25” campaign will coincide with an inaugural in-person fundraising event, “A Night with the Shift Up Now Foundation,” presented by PenFed Credit Union at Tom Wood Porsche on September 20, 2024. Between the “25 for 25” campaign and the in-person event, the goal is to raise a total of $75,000 for sponsorship grants. These grants will provide the financial support necessary for racers to compete at higher levels, purchase critical equipment, and access opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
Despite the widespread popularity of motorsport worldwide, female participation is significantly underrepresented. The Shift Up Now Foundation is committed to changing this narrative, and any contribution to this campaign is an investment in the future of female racers who are poised to make history.
So far in the 2024 racing season, the current roster of Shift Up Now Athletes have been earning victories, podiums and even championships, proving that the benefits of contributing to the campaign truly do further the Shift Up Now mission of advancing equity for women in motorsport.
For the second consecutive year, leaders at Lucas Oil have opted to get behind the cause as well. As a long-time supporter of talented female athletes in motorsport, Lucas Oil has offered to match the first $5,000 in donations, advancing the campaign to its first $10,000.
In conjunction with the online fundraising campaign, “A Night with the Shift Up Now Foundation” presented by PenFed Credit Union will take place on Friday, September 20th during the IMSA race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Shift Up Now is making a limited number of tickets available for race fans to attend the exclusive event.
