March 24, 2023

Shift Up Now Athlete Ashley Freiberg will hit the racetrack this weekend in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America at Sebring International Raceway on March 24-26, 2023, with new sponsorship and livery from Yokohama Tire and MDK Motorsports.

Yokohama’s new “All-In” campaign is aimed at promoting inclusiveness in racing and helping diverse drivers progress in their racing careers. The company’s list of motorsports activities - both on- and off-road - is extensive.

Freiberg is one of two drivers enrolled in the 2023 Yokohama “All-In” program. The 31-year-old racer from Illinois has competed in open-wheel, sports car and endurance racing. She has earned the Skip Barber championship title twice. In addition, she became the first woman to win a Skip Barber national race, and the first female to claim outright race victories in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge.

“I am beyond grateful to be racing with MDK Motorsports for the the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge season,” said Freiberg. “The last time I had a full season in a car was in 2015. So my heart is exploding with excitement to be back behind the wheel full-time and back with the MDK family.

“I just want to give a huge thank you to all of my supporters, Yokohama, ShiftUp Now, TrakRacer, Bell Helmets, Dream Giveaway, and MDK Motorsports. I’m ready to go racing.”

Shift Up Now is proud to be a co-sponsor of her car, which will feature Shift Up Now livery.

Patricia Wall, Yokohama’s Motorsports Manager, said the company was excited about the partnership with MDK Motorsports.

“We are collaborating with Megan Kvamme, MDK’s CEO, on this partnership,” said Wall. "She’s a supremely successful businesswoman who shares our mutual interest in promoting diversity in racing. The team at MDK is structured to help drivers progress their careers. They have an in- house simulator, experienced driver coaches and a talented engineering staff.”

Wall added, “The intention with All-In is to turn it into a recurring program.”

Freiberg’s first day on track at Sebring International Raceway will be Friday, March 25th. More info is available at www.porschesprint.com.
