Shift Up Now is proud to announce that The Momentum Group, an Indianapolis-based marketing and communications company, has renewed their Corporate Membership for a second year.
Once again, select Shift Up Now Athletes will be awarded The Momentum Group Photography Fund. This fund will provide help for Athletes who have secured funding to race but are specifically in need of help with additional, associated expenses. Specifically, The Momentum Group Photography Fund covers the photography costs for drivers’ race events throughout the season.
Experts in in brand development, advertising, online and digital marketing, and helping create and manage business to business relationships, the Momentum Group also has years of experience in motorsport. The company has worked with teams and drivers to help both with finding and supporting sponsors, and elevating their branding to attract new partners.
The Momentum Group is proving its continued commitment to Shift Up Now and supporting talented female athletes in motorsport. Beneficiaries in 2023 will include Michele Abbate and Amber Balcaen.
Abbate will make her return to the Trans Am National tour in Trans Am TA2 for her second season. Her season-opener takes place on February 25, 2023, at Sebring Raceway, the first of 12 events this year.
”Professional photos are vital for promotion, reach, and sharing success,” said Abbate. “High- quality images from my events can be expensive. Having support from The Momentum Group and Shift Up Now to help cover these costs really helps me, both on and off the track”
Balcaen will compete in select ARCA Menards series events with Venturi Motorsports. She recently completed her first event of the season in the Icon Direct car. After a mechanical issue in qualifying, she drove from the back of the pack to earn a P6 finish, her best result so far in ARCA racing. Her next race is Talledega on April 22, 2023.

For the 2023 season, photography featuring Abbate and Balcaen, and subsidized by The Momentum Group fund, can be found on the Shift Up Now website. Albums will be updated throughout the year. Images can also be found on social media channels for both drivers and Shift Up Now.
